One Big Tonys Blur

CI: Well, Dave, I'd love to do a rap wrapup of our evening together but it's quite beyond me. What did you think of the show overall? DI: It was all a big blur to me. Neil Patrick Harris, who always comes through, was great in his face-off with Hugh Jackman and in his closing hip-hop rhyme. Those stood out more than a lot of the numbers, truthfully. What will you take away from this show? CI: A few moving speeches -- Barkin, Hickey, James. A lot of overproduced numbers. Harris was a charming host again, but I agree the highlight was Lin-Manuel Miranda's closing number. In fact if you saw that you pretty much saw the show. Maybe he can do the whole thing next year and we can get it over in 10 minutes? DI: Either way, Neil Patrick Harris should be hosting the Oscars. He's in "The Smurfs" this year. That's good enough.
